Market and World prices

To analyse the World prices the table presents the prices of the big manufacturers of Wind Turbines. It’s necessary to understand that the less the Turbine, the higher the cost per kWatt in production.

The price of Wind Turbine depends on its nominal power:
- 1...10 kW - $5-8 per W
- 10...100 kW - $3-5 per W
- 100...1000 kW - $1-4 per W

The cost of power produced by Wind Turbines, is 5-7 cents/kW-hour in accordance with data of EPK1 Institute (USA). It can be compared with the cost of traditional power stations.

Moreover Wind Turbines are even less expensive if compare the cost of servicing, repairs, fuel supply, etc.):
-    Wind Turbines 1.4 cents/kW-hour
-    Fuel and energy complex – 2 cents/kW-hour
-    Gas fuel and energy complex – 2.9 cents/kW-hour
-    Mazut (black oil) fuel and energy complex – 3.2 cents/kW-hour

The presented data related to annual wind speed 5-6 m/sec. The higher the wind speed, the less the costs of servicing, repairs, etc. for Wind Turbine. I.e. it’s efficiency is growing together with wind speed.

The cost of Wind Turbines produced by “SRC-Vertical”, Ltd. is currently $3-4 per Watt and tends to $2-3.
According to the forecast of economists of SRC-Vertical, the cost in mass serial production will be on the level of $0.5 per Watt.
