Testing

The results of laboratory and field testing confirmed the calculation data. In some cases the natural testing results were even better than the calculated.

Official dynamic testing of blades was carried in big hydrodynamic and aerodynamic pipes of State Rocket Center (SRC, Design Bureau named after academician V.Makeyev, Miass, Chelyabinsk region, Russia), Aerodynamic pipe of Kazan’ University (Kazan’, Russia).

Official dynamic testing of wind rotor, alternator and hub was carried in the field conditions of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Empire Magnetics, Inc.. (USA).

Electric equipment for Wind Turbine operation (inverters, batteries, diesel (gas) generators, controllers, regulators wires) available on the market and also can be purchased at SRC-Vertical. The joint testing of equipment is carried by SRC-Vertical.

Climatic testing of each aggregate of Wind Turbine was carried by Laboratory of Climatic Testing (State Rocket Center).

The calculated maximum wind speed when the Wind Turbine keeps standing, is 60 m/sec. This speed was reached during lab testing. Coefficient of strength reserve is 1.2 minimum for each component of Turbine. It means the Wind Turbine is calculated for wind speed 60m/sec х 1.2 = 72 m/sec or 260 km/hour or 161 miles/hour or 0.0447 miles/sec), which is acceptable for almost any climate condition.
For information: The strength of the most living houses is calculated for 55 m/sec or 200 km/hour).

Mechanical, electrical and ecological parameters of Wind Turbines produced by SRC-Vertical, totally meet the International technical requirements. Moreover they do not generate the elctromagnetic oscillations as Horizontal Axis Turbines. The noise level is under 50 dB at 10 meters around the operating Turbine which meets Lloyd Requirements.
