Testing technology

1. The testing was carried in natural wind conditions.
2. Control system was not used.
3. Testing of alternators with nominal characteristics was carried with the help of hydro-motors used as leading motors.
4. Wind speed and rotation frequency were registered during testing in the unified time system with the help of special stand. Wind speed was measured by certified anemometer. The rotation frequency was measured by alternator rotation speed.
5. Ohmic load (resistance) on alternator output was changing and registering periodically.
6. Secondary data processing was carried by computer math model of Wind Turbine. The main goal of analysis was the testing of dynamic reaction of Turbine on wind speed and alternator load change. According to this reaction the aerodynamic power of Wind Turbine has been measured. The error of measurement in this method is about 10%, confidence probability 0.95.
7. Similar approach of measurement will be further used for big Wind Turbines, using standards.
